1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Snip Trader collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit the website, create an account, upload chart screenshots, use our analysis tools, contact support, or otherwise use the service.
Snip Trader helps people understand chart screenshots and trade setups. We collect only what we need to run the platform, improve the product, keep accounts secure, communicate with you, and make the experience better.
By using the service, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information gathered automatically from your device or browser, and information from trusted third-party services that help us run the platform.
- Account details, such as your name, email address, profile picture, sign-in provider, and account IDs.
- Sign-in details from providers such as Google, limited to what we need to create and secure your account.
- Usage details, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, scans run, features used, browser and device type, how you found us, and general analytics events.
- Chart screenshots and scan inputs you choose to upload, including the image and any settings you enter, such as timeframe, ticker, account size, risk percentage, or profit goal.
- Generated results, including the detected ticker, possible entries, stops, targets, reward-to-risk, direction, missing-data flags, and scores.
- Support messages, including emails, feedback, bug reports, questions, and anything else you send us.
- Technical details, such as IP address, browser version, operating system, device identifiers, cookies, session data, and server logs.
- Payment-related details, such as plan status, billing email, plan type, trial status, promo code use, transaction IDs, and payment processor records. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we never store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Onboarding answers you choose during sign-up, which help us understand our users and improve the product.
3. How we use information
We use information to run, secure, and improve Snip Trader. We never use it to place trades for you, manage a brokerage account, or give you personal financial advice.
- Create and manage your account.
- Verify your sign-in and keep your session secure.
- Process your chart screenshots and produce educational analysis.
- Track scan usage, platform performance, and reliability.
- Improve result quality, design, speed, and accuracy.
- Find errors, bugs, abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or misuse.
- Answer support requests and questions.
- Send service messages, account notices, security alerts, product updates, and billing notices.
- Run product experiments, such as testing different pricing or onboarding with different users, to learn what works best.
- Meet legal, security, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
4. Chart screenshots and scan data
When you upload a screenshot, Snip Trader may process the image and related scan data to produce an analysis. Your image may include chart details, tickers, watchlists, platform interface, notes, or anything else visible on screen.
Please avoid uploading screenshots that show sensitive personal information, account balances, full names, account numbers, private messages, API keys, passwords, or other confidential data.
We may keep scan records, metadata, and results to power your history, improve performance, prevent abuse, and keep the platform reliable. When we use scan data to improve the service, we try to limit unnecessary personal information where practical.
5. Guest checkout and linking accounts
You may be able to start onboarding or buy a plan before creating a full account. If so, we create a temporary guest record that holds your onboarding answers, plan, and settings.
When you later sign in with a provider such as Google, we connect that guest record, including any active plan, to your new account so you keep your purchase and history. The guest record is then merged into your account.
7. Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers to help run Snip Trader. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, under their own terms and privacy practices.
- Sign-in providers, such as Google.
- Database and backend providers.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Analytics providers, which help us measure traffic, onboarding progress, and feature use.
- Payment processors, such as Stripe, which handle checkout, subscriptions, trials, and billing records under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Email, support, logging, security, and other product tools.
9. Keeping data secure
We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect your information, which may include authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, logging, and monitoring.
No online service can promise perfect security. Keep your sign-in secure, use a safe device, and contact us right away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
10. How long we keep data
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account records, improve the platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent abuse, and protect the business.
Some records may be kept longer for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, legal, or other legitimate business reasons. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, de-identify it, aggregate it, or keep it securely in line with our internal practices.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain uses of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where we rely on it.

12. Children's privacy
Snip Trader is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we've collected a child's information without the required parental consent, we'll take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact sniptrader.contact@gmail.com.
